== Storia ==
La S.A.V. è un movimento ecclesiale [[valdese]] [[riformato]] che si prefigge di far conoscere, difendere e promuovere i principi informatori dell'antico movimento [[Valdismo|valdese]] e della Riforma protestante]] classica, fondati sul presupposto che la [[Bibbia]] è integralmente [[Parola]] di [[Dio]] e regola della fede e della condotta. Questi principi sono testimoniati dalla Confessione valdese di fede del [[1655]] che, insieme alle altre confessioni di fede della Riforma detta [[calvinista]], la S.A.V. crede esprimere fedelmente l'insegnamento dell'Antico e del [[Nuovo Testamento]]. I firmatari della S.A.V. vogliono, in questo modo, unire le loro forze in un tempo in cui, con dolore e preoccupazione, vedono molte chiese che a tali principi dicono di rifarsi, allontanarsene di fatto sempre più sotto l'influenza corruttrice di mode ed ideologie filosofiche, sociali, politiche e culturali che vengono abbracciate con scarso o erroneo discernimento in nome di un preteso progresso. La S.A.V. è un movimento ecclesiale valdese riformato che si prefigge di far conoscere, difendere e promuovere i principi informatori dell'antico movimento valdese e della Riforma protestante]] classica, fondati sul presupposto che la Bibbia è integralmente Parola di Dio e regola della fede e della condotta. Questi principi sono testimoniati dalla Confessione valdese di fede del 1655 che, insieme alle altre confessioni di fede della Riforma detta calvinista, la S.A.V. crede esprimere fedelmente l'insegnamento dell'Antico e del Nuovo Testamento. I firmatari della S.A.V. vogliono, in questo modo, unire le loro forze in un tempo in cui, con dolore e preoccupazione, vedono molte chiese che a tali principi dicono di rifarsi, allontanarsene di fatto sempre più sotto l'influenza corruttrice di mode ed ideologie filosofiche, sociali, politiche e culturali che vengono abbracciate con scarso o erroneo discernimento in nome di un preteso progresso.
